If you love the outdoor life as much as we do than there is no better thing than to get some good hot food in place and spend some quality time with your friends and family. On a beach, in a park or on the water, you probably know the hassle from overloading your bike and backpacks and getting there without bumps and bruises with your so-called ‘portable bbq’.

We wanted to have a small portable bbq that is easy to use, safe and nice to look at. Also one that immediately works once arrived and not getting your hands dirty and waiting half an hour to get the fire started. Looking at the current market for portable grills and bbq’s we found a lot of grills that claimed to be portable and easy to handle. Finally looking at the weight, size and grilling surface there wasn’t much that could meet our expectations of a real portable grill, and that’s where it started…

After a long journey of designing, shaping, engineering and testing, the team of CQ international, a well-known industrial design firm, finally got the work done. They delivered the first real portable bbq that is small, lightweight, safe and very easy to use. The minute you arrive at the scene you instantly can go ahead and prepare some awesome food on it. Unfold it, plug it in, ignite and go!

Gas and charcoal grills differ in how much they pollute. Looking at local air pollution, gas barbecues (whether they’re fueled by natural gas or propane) come out way ahead compared to charcoal grills . Burning conventional charcoal releases nasty volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and particulate matter into the air around your grill.

Gas grills also beat charcoal grills when it comes to carbon emissions: A widely cited Oak Ridge National Laboratory study calculated that a gas burner emits about 5.6 pounds of carbon dioxide per hour, compared to 11 pounds per hour for cooking over the coals. And production efficiency? Gas wins again. About 90 percent of propane makes it out of the production process as useable fuel, whereas only 20 to 35 percent of the source wood ends up as a charcoal briquette (the rest burns off into the air). Propane and natural gas are non-renewable petro-products, true, but they keep the air cleaner – and the climate cooler – than charcoal. This makes the nomadiQ a sustainable choice.

Using mostly aluminium die casted parts we were able to make the nomadiQ with a total weight of only 5,3 kg.
Easy to carry for everyone.

Unlock it, unfold it, connect it and go! If it takes 1
minute, you’re doing something wrong.

Minimising all dimensions has always been our main goal. The size folded is 16 inch (40cm) wide, 14 inch (36cm) high and 6 inch (15cm) thick. How portable you want to have it?

Each side has a grilling surface of 110 square inch (700 cm2) to enjoy. How big do you want it?

The nomadiQ can be connected to either a small gas cartridge with a nozzle valve and screw on type. Bigger gas tanks using a 3/4 inch (standard) screw connection can be used as well. A small cartridge of 220g will last for approximately 90 minutes.

Each side can be controlled individually by the knobs positioned on the side. Ideal for products that need a different temperature to cook or need to keep warm. And switching one side off is always an option.

The grates have a strong non-stick coating and can be put in the dishwasher or cleaned by hand. All corners and edges inside the shells are covered for easy cleaning.

Grilling is one of the most healthiest ways to prepare your food. A good direct source of heat without the use of oil or butter will prepare your food in no time.

The nomadiQ barbeque is standard configured for disposable gas cartridges (30mbar, bayonet & screw type). These are common type gas cartridges that can be found at almost every outdoor retailer worldwide.

Besides these ‘portable’ configurations the nomadiQ barbecue can also be configured for the bigger type of gas bottles. The only thing you need to change is the 30mbar pressure regulator with a bottle connection of your choice. These are all standard parts that can be found at every outdoor shop. Check your local retailer to come to the configuration of your choice.
